The World Forum on Energy Regulation (WFER) is the leading international conference on energy regulation, held only once every three years. Discussions on regulatory frameworks and best practices are led under the framework of the International Confederation of Energy Regulators (ICER). ICER is a voluntary cooperation mechanism between energy regulators from around the globe, comprising more than 200 regulatory authorities, represented by national and regional associations. ICER’s main goal is to improve public and policy-maker awareness and understanding of energy regulation and its role in addressing a wide spectrum of socio-economic, environmental and market issues.
